Community Involvement

An advocate for environmental preservation, Walt Hull joined the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) to help fulfill its long-term mission to the community. The stated purpose of the CCA is to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of these coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.

One of Walt's most frequented hobbies is hunting throughout the southern region of the United States. As a result he is a member of the National Rifle Association. Formed in 1871, the main goal of the National Rifle Association is to promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis.

In addition to his recreational membership, Walter also finds gratification in contributing to local non-profit organizations like the Big Buddy Program and Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. The Big Buddy Program is a non-profit youth organization that is committed to providing positive role models in the lives of the youth the organization serves. Additionally, the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance works to serve as a catalyst, facilitator and coordinator, to encourage the growth and renewal of the Mid City region of Baton Rouge by attracting new and retaining current residents and businesses.
